UK Self Sponsored Visa Requirements
Eligibility requirements include:
- Experience with OR skills or qualification(s) within the area of knowledge and business you want to establish.
- Having a business idea or ready to take over an existing UK business.
- Most recent bank statement and adequate funds to support your proposed business in the UK.
- A person already settled in the UK or a British citizen who can vouch for you and take responsibility as an authorising officer.

Yes! As all the requirements are completed as per UK law, you can become the owner of a 100% share as well as the director of the company.
You can work a second job outside your business. However, it will be subject to strict conditions as per your visa.
Your visa will cost between £464 and £1,408, and you will also have to pay an additional fee for the immigration health surcharge, which is about £1035/year for adults and £776/year for dependent children.
The sponsored license is valid for four years, and after this time, you will have to submit an application for renewal to the Home Office. If your business is active, you can retain your sponsorship licence. However, if you decide to stop your business, your licence will be taken back, and you will have to switch your immigration category if you wish to stay and work in the UK.
If your current Authorising Officer leaves, you must hire another one, as there must always be an active AO in the company. Otherwise, UKVI may revoke your licence.
