What Are the Portugal D2 Visa Requirements?
As per the government of Portugal, the eligibility requirements include:
- Must be a non-EU/EEA/Switzerland freelancer, entrepreneur, or small business owner.
- Applicant must have an existing company in Portugal or sufficient funds to open a branch or invest in any Portuguese company. The D2 visa Portugal minimum investment is €5,000, proven through bank statements or a loan.
- The breakdown of sufficient funds includes 100% of the minimum annual salary (€8,460) of the principal applicant, 50% of the annual minimum salary of the spouse (€4,230), and 30% of the minimum annual salary of the dependent child (€2,538). A total of €15,228 per year is required for a family of three.
- Your business idea must be achievable and contribute to Portugal's economy. Relevant authorities will review your plan as per the law.
- Applicant needs to purchase health insurance for family, which can cost from €300 to €1000 per year.
